Folia Heyrovskyana, Supplement 9: Additions and Corrections to the World Catalogue of Genus-group Names of Geadephaga (Coleoptera) Published by Wolfgang Lorenz (1998). The work provides corrections to original citations, spellings, authorships, publication dates, and type species designations of several genus-group names of Geadephaga listed in the world catalogue of generic names published by Lorenz (1998). A list of unjustified emendations is presented in Appendix 1, and a list of incorrect subsequent spellings, reported and unjustified emendations by Lorenz (1998), is presented in Appendix 2. Corrections to original citations, spellings, authorship, publication dates, and type species designations of several genus-group names listed in the world catalogue of generic names of Geadephaga published by Lorenz (1998b) are provided as well as additions. The following new replacement names are proposed: Abrodiella (for Abrodiaeta Péringuey, 1896); Agonops (for Agonopsis Semenov, 1889); Bohemaniella (for Bohemannia or Bohemania Putzeys, 1861); Deipyrodes (for Deipyrus Liebke, 1938); Gnopheroides (for Gnopherus Andrewes, 1940); Harpalodiodes (for Harpalodes Basilewsky, 1951); Eujalmenus (for Jalmenus Liebke, 1935); Platycymindis (for Pseudocymindis Habu, 1967); Pseudomastinus (for Pseudomastus Emetz, 1972); Pyramoides (for Pyramis Putzeys, 1846); Stricklandiana (for Stricklandia W. J. MacLeay, 1886); Wahlbergiana (for Wahlbergia Tschitschérine, 1896). The new synonymies are introduced, the type species are designated, the names which are considered valid are listed. To preserve the current usage of several names, a number of submissions to the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature was necessary.... celý text
