Bill Pronzini je držitel dvou ocenění Shamus a Ceny za celoživotní dílo od asociace amerických autorů soukromých detektivů. Jeho série s „bezejmenným detektivem“ zahrnuje mimo jiné i romány Shackles (Pouta, 1988), Sentinels (Strážníci, 1996), Illusions (Iluze) a Crazybone (Brňavka).
